MAX CASELLA: investment banking analyst

Max Casella supports M&A and capital raising engagements across the defense sector, focusing on financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution. Max leads SSG’s Defense Industry Deal Tracker, where he monitors and analyzes capital markets activity across small- to mid-cap public defense companies and a range of private defense companies. Max also leads SSG’s Small-Cap Defense Index, which tracks the stock performance of over 70 small- to mid-cap defense stocks. Prior to joining Secure Strategy Group, Max was an Investment Banking Analyst at Viridian Capital Advisors, where he worked on buy- and sell-side M&A transactions and capital formation assignments. Max graduated from Bryant University with a BSBA in Finance and a minor in Applied Economics. He holds FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.

greg coleman: institutional sales

Mr. Coleman has over 27 years of institutional sales experience in the securities industry.  He started in the equity business in the early 1990’s at Sanford Bernstein and went on to become a Partner in 1997.  He’s held various sales management and senior management roles at firms such as Credit Suisse, Leerink Swann, and Macquarie Bank.  In 2011, Greg launched his own firm, THINK Partners, a financial services boutique that focuses on identifying compelling investment management and private company opportunities and offering them to professional investors.  Prior to joining Wall Street, Greg worked in the technology industry at both IBM and Electronic Data Systems. 

andrew lock: corporate advisory

Andy Lock has 30+ years’ experience working with and providing financing to a diverse set of industries and businesses as an executive in the commercial banking industry, consultant, and board member. Mr. Lock is the former Chief Risk Officer of Towne Bank, a $11 Billion multistate publicly traded banking company.  In that capacity he was a member of executive management with direct oversight of the enterprise risk management, internal audit, credit review, model risk management, mortgage quality review, appraisal management and vendor risk management programs. Prior to joining Towne Andy was the Chief Risk Officer, Chief Credit Officer, and executive team member at Monarch Bank, a $1.2B publicly traded bank. 

michael newman: institutional sales

Mr. Newman has a successful 30-year career in finance, accounting, systems design, and consulting. It began at a Big-4 firm and advanced to C-level roles in several technology startups. He has cultivated a deep network of qualified institutional buyers, institutional investors, and accredited investors. He founded Worth Street, LLC, a venture capital-backed commercial-bank financial advisory firm delivering services powered by fintech and reg-tech platforms. Mr. Newman co-founded BitRage Inc., serving as CFO and leading development of patented “last mile” telecom solutions. He later served as President of BitRage NOVIS, Corp., overseeing the design and manufacture of lightweight, weapons-mountable night vision video camera systems for military, SWAT, border security, and infrastructure organizations. As a consultant, he also conceived a securitized financial instrument based on intangible assets for one of the largest U.S. home security alarm-monitoring companies (which later became ADT) and a major commercial bank’s merchant banking division.
